What you will make

A pair of cuff-down colorwork socks with a tomato motif on the leg and a heel flap and gusset. Three circumferences; length is knit-to-measure.

These socks start at the cuff and work down, with a tomato motif that looks like something picked warm from a garden basket. Colorwork stays on the leg where you can see it; the foot stays quieter so it wears evenly.

The heel is a classic flap and gusset, written so the first turn is sentences, not just numbers. If you have knit one pair of vanilla socks, you can knit these. The public page will not give you the stitch counts.

The paid PDF has the colorwork chart, a written version of every motif round, and notes for three foot circumferences. Length is knit-to-measure.

Skill level: Advanced Beginner
Yarn: Thyme and Butter Studio Classic Sock, a fingering-weight sock yarn, in three colors: 100 g main color, plus 10 g of each of two contrast colors.
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1.5) and 3.0 mm (US 2.5), using either magic loop or DPNs.
Gauge: 34 sts and 50 rnds = 4 in / 10 cm in stockinette in the round, after blocking.
Notions: Tapestry needle and 1 stitch marker.
